This is an excerpt from Sufjan Stevens film and soundtrack dedicated to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (the BQE). Sufjan was asked to create a work of art as a part of the 25th Anniversary Next Wave Festival celebrations at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and so together with a group of friends, he filmed the stretch of road and made a three panelled wordless film about it.
